Rococo ‘New Geisha Luxe’
This has to be some of the most attractive packaging for polish I’ve ever seen. It’s not just pretty, it’s sturdy and feels incredibly luxurious, and this is just a polish from Rococo’s basic line of polishes.
I had hoped based on the bottle image online that this shade would lean more towards the grey than the purple of most mushroom shades, but in reality it felt really quite purple. In regards to formula though, it was quite nice and the finish was reasonably glossy. The teeny tiny micro glitter pieces that you can just about see in one of the bottle images, however, don’t appear in these photos at all. The sneaky buggers kept hiding. To be fair though, they didn’t show up on the nail much in real life either.

This is my first Rococo polish and I was pretty happy with the formula. It’s sadly not one of those super high end products that makes me go ‘wow, I completely see why it has that price tag’, but neither did it make me scream ‘what a rip off!’. It was nice, the formula was easy enough to apply, though a teeny tiny bit brush strokey (but I’m a bit finicky about that). For me it feels as though the packaging, the bottle, the lovely cap and the weight of the product (as well as the generous 14ml volume) all ooze luxury, but the contents are good. Not outstanding. Don’t get me wrong, the polish is good stuff, just not as good as the box led me to believe.
As a gift though they could be quite lovely. Sometimes I feel like giving a bottle of polish can appear a little, well, not very ‘gifty’. Perhaps it’s my product design background but I think presentation of products counts for a lot, so I’d be quite tempted to send one as a treat to a friend.
