Mont Blue nail files

Today I have some nail files to show you for something a little different. These are by Montbleu’s website www.design-glassware.com, and I’ve actually ordered some in the past and have sworn by their files ever since. They threw in some cute tweezers and earrings too.

I guess we all need to be blessed with something, and I’m pretty happy with what my eyebrows of their own accord, so the three hairs I need to pluck every so often came out brilliantly with the tweezer, now, on to the nail files. I’m going to have to explain at this point that yes, I requested the Napoleon file. I know it’s an odd choice. The Mr is a bit of a history geek, and particularly so when it has anything to do with Napoleon, and it seemed such an odd design to have on a nail file that I just had to have it.

I had a nasty rip in two nails just after they arrived. You can’t make it out in the image too well, but basically I tried to throw some crumbs outside and missed the actual doorway, instead smacking my hand into the doorframe, nails first. A bit crap, especially considering how much swatching I have to get through, but good timing at least as I got to try out these new goodies.

Freshly filed

I know there’s free edge there, but my nail beds don’t go as close to the fingertip as other peoples’ nails, so 1 or 2mm or white nail tip doesn’t give me much length. I also find that my nail bed length (the part of the nail stuck to the finger) changes depending on the growth stage that my nails are in. Make sense? Thought not. Regardless, they’re awesome files.

They have a great range too, travel mini’s, hard cased files that are great for handbags (no scratched phone screens!), Swarovski decorated beauties and more. Every single one that I’ve tried glides across my nails and though they were made from butter, gently and smoothly filing them down with impressive ease. Honestly, I don’t know how I ever used an emery board, ever. I wholeheartedly recommend them! Design Glassware also ships really promptly, and both parcels that I’ve had from them have arrived safely, well wrapped and quickly. I even found myself wearing the Swarovski earrings too despite not normally wearing earrings at all.
