It’s been a while, so long in fact that I am now in a different decade! Today though I have the 2nd birthday collection from Grace-full Nail Polish, a lovely Australian indie brand. The collection is called ‘What a Girl Needs (the follow up to ‘What a Girl Wants’) and consists of 6 polishes that were derived form suggestions from the Grace-full Facebook fan group.
‘Blue S-teal is the big sister to Do the Magic! but with a shift that is supposed to move through blue, steel blue and teal – but I definitely saw purple edges! This is two coats and super smooth.
‘Butterful’ is a cream polish with two sizes of gold flakes. Three coats gave a really solid opacity, but you might pull it off with two.
‘Elementeal’ is a teal jelly base with teal and copper super holographic micro glitter. This is super sparkly in sunlight, which we had about a second of while I was swatching.
‘Pinktopia’ surprised me because I’m not a big fan of pinks. The holo with the flakes gave it more depth though and I really liked wearing this. 2 coats shown here.
‘Rain Upon the Moon’ has small silver super holographic glitter, a silver tinted holo base and rainbow flakes for the most MEGA shiny polish I’ve seen for a long long time!
‘Royal Forest Nymph’ is a beautiful deep green linear holo with a slight gold shift. Two stunning coats.
Some nail art had to happen!
Overall this is a really pretty collection with smooth and lovely formulas. Butterful isn’t quite my cup of tea, but I was particularly surprised by Rain Upon The Moon because I wouldn’t normally go for something so flashy, but good Lord I couldn’t keep my eyes off it! These polishes will be availble from the 1st of September through Grace-full or an international stockist.
Oh, and happy birthday to Grace-full!
