Eyes Peeled: Stargazer Red Mascara Review

Stargazer mascara 'Red'

Stargazer mascara ‘Red’

I will be the first to confess, I know more about nail polish than I do about make up. I wear limited makeup and stick to particular products – one day I might blog about that but for now I wanted to show you something that grabbed my attention. I found a little shop in Norwich selling Stargazer products and though they didn’t have the silver chrome polish I’ve been looking for they did have red mascara, and as I’ve never seen a red mascara before I thought it was worth a go.

The formula is quite nice and it applied as easily as the best mascaras I’ve ever used. Now, the colour. I don’t wear heavy eye make up but I think this product would look better with a complete ‘look’ not to mention the fact that it looked a little sickly on me without heavier eyeliner and so on. It did stay put though which is impressive for a mascara on me. for a cheap thrill this is a brilliant product, and if you’re looking for coloured mascaras I’d say give this range a try as there’s a few awesome bright colours, but I suspect this colour might not be the one for me.

P.S. Apologies for the less than perfect photography on this one.

The important bits:

Price: £2.99
Volume: 10gm
Where to buy: Stargazer is one of those brands that appears in random places, but I found mine in a local independent beauty supply shop. Here is one website in the UK that stocks it.

I ordered some Stargazer colored mascaras off ebay a while ago. They are such a rare thing. Colored mascaras, that LOOK colored, cheap, and of good quality. Nice, right?

Yes! I think I’m going to have to go back for the blue and pink :)
