Thankfully there are a few lovelies in Germany kind enough to swap with me when Essence releases limited edition polishes. Sabine of My Polish Stash was lovely enough to send me my three picks from the Twilight Breaking Dawn Part II collection a while back. I skipped the gold as I’m just not a gold sort of person.

Essence Twilight collection ‘Edward’s Love’
First up is ‘Edward’s Love’ and to be honest it’s first because I’d rather save the best til last. It’s an OK formula the end result is nice. Just ‘nice’. It’s a little like a more charcoaled ‘Creator’ by Illamasqua – by no means a dupe but similar, and to many other polishes too. So, swiftly on to the others.

‘Jacob’s Protection’ is a delightful blue polish with flecks that I just can’t photograph properly! Hopefully you can make out the blue and green flecks in the deep blue base. It’s such a beautiful combination, and in a better formula than Edward’s Love and I can’t think of anything in my stash quite like it.

Lastly is my favourite of the three, ‘Alice Had A Vision…Again’. This is a dark purple polish with purple and blue flecks that occasionally flash turquoise. I can’t really convey effectively how much I like this polish. Again, one that I don’t think I have any comparable polish in my collection for.

These were limited editions, so although they were released not too long ago, essence LE’s do tend to disappear quite quickly. If you live in a country that sells Essence (sadly the UK does not – not a clue why not though) you might track some down but I suspect it is unlikely. They are, however, on eBay as I type this so perhaps you’d have some luck there! |
