When it rains it pours! I know I should plan my posts better but I just felt like sharing something a bit more artsy than just swatches today. My mum brought over her Powder Perfect Stained Glass polishes when she visited earlier this year for me to steal. The blue instantly stood out for me and makes great abstract water with some She Sells Seashells vinyls, and with the addition of some fishies (a no name orange random bottle I found) it made for quite a cute mani.

This collection makes for one hell of a sparkly post! This is part one of Powder Perfect’s Egyptology series – The Lower Kingdom – a set of five super sparkly glitters.
You can read more about Jacinta’s inspiration for the collection here, and I’ll never get bored of saying how much I admire her sources of inspiration that go way beyond over-done pop culture, but I’ll crack on with the sparkly pictures now!
Another post that might be a bit sparing with words, this time it’s because I have a crappy cold and feel like my head is enormous. I’m sure it’s still actually a regular size, but so far ‘the drugs don’t work.’ So rather than some unintelligible ramble, I’ll keep it short and sweet.
I have a love for anything grey. I have grey jeans, t shirts, bags, towels, bed linen, even my company branding is grey. So I’ll happily try any grey polish too. ‘Faded Jeans’ is from the Powder Perfect ‘Lady is a Vamp’ collection, released last week and it’s awesome.
Yay for Aussie brands! Much like everything else in my life, I’m torn between the UK and Australia. I don’t think I can say whether I feel more fondly for either when it comes to polish brands, but I can say that I love Powder Perfect. Jacinta, the lovely lady behind the brand, is a sweetheart, and her polishes are going from strength to strength, with each collection surpassing the last. She’s also an indie brand that understands copyright infringement vs inspiration so it’s brilliant to see her diverse range of influences.
I do have a fondness for Australian indies, so I’m pretty chuffed to be able to show you Powder Perfect’s latest collection ‘Abandoned Mansion’, a collection of cremes, holos and glitters inspired by the ethereal and, sometimes, desolate imagery that has been prevalent in every TV show and book that captured the attention of Jacinta, the creator of Powder Perfect.
